Chad Brownlee

Although he may focus on living in the moment and absorbing every treasured second with his fans while performing on stage, Brownlee has already lived a life many would argue could fill multiple lifetimes. An award-winning singer, songwriter, philanthropist and former NHL draft pick, country music artist Brownlee is by definition a renaissance man, who lives by the credence that “opportunity lies along the path created by the choices you make.”

Over the last few years Brownlee has received critical acclaim and numerous accolades including a highly coveted JUNO nomination for Country Album of the Year, and consecutive Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA®) Award™ Male Artist of the Year nominations (2012 & 2013).

For this British Columbia, Canada native, a strong work ethic defines his successful transition from the ice rink to the stage. A culmination of many days and nights on the road and hours in the studio, Brownlee has been taking the Canadian country music world by storm. He plans to cross the border later this year to share the Country Thunder Festival stage (in both Wisconsin and Arizona), performing a mix of fan favourites and new tracks off his forthcoming album.

Growing up in small-town Northern BC, Aaron drew his earliest musical influences from 80's Rock, but the transition to country music came naturally, "It was based on being able to relate to the stories that country songs told. Those stories were a lot like mine. I was going fishing, camping, and riding buses to hockey tournaments in even smaller towns than my own, life was a lot more country than rock and roll. "

Asked how hockey played a major role in is life: I grew up in a small town up north in British Columbia and learned to play when I was really young. .. I’ve always said that hockey was my first true love. It’s with me and around me all the time, even now. I still play hockey when I can, I love watching games, and watching my kids play now and then. I’m a huge Canucks fan too. As far back as I can remember, hockey has always played a big role, it’s shaped who I am. Aaron Pritchett is currently an alumni member of the Vancouver Canucks Hockey Organization.
